We continue our 'Reading Matthew in Lent' series today by reading through Chapter Six of St Matthew's Gospel.
In this chapter, we learn how we should give to the needy without shouting it from the rooftops. We are then given the gift of the Lord's Prayer before the teaching that we should not accumulate treasures on earth but instead work to create tresures in heaven. Finally there's a lesson in not getting too caught up in worldly anxiety - worring about putting food on the table or clothes on your back. Trust in God.
